Texas, often referred to as the Lone Star State, is the second-largest state in the United States, both in terms of land area and population. It is located in the south-central region of the country and shares borders with Mexico to the south, New Mexico to the west, Oklahoma to the north, Arkansas to the northeast, and Louisiana to the east.
Fort Worth is a city in North Central Texas. In the late 19th century, it became an important trading post for cowboys at the end of the Chisholm Trail.
